Relevant Work Experience              

 Ithaca College:  Ithaca, NY

       Graduate Assistant (September 06’-Present)

  • Assist Sports Management department with research on current issues and topics in sports
  • Currently designing and implementing a research study on the motivation of trail runners

Sugarloaf USA Ski Resort:  Carrabassett Valley, ME                   

       Merchandising and Events Coordinator (October 04’-April 05’)

  • Coordinated events such as concerts, the 17th Annual Budweiser Reggae Festival and White White World Week throughout the ski season for the marketing department at Sugarloaf/USA.
  • Responsible for the distribution and coordination of on-mountain merchandising, creating flyers for various events and for implementing partnership marketing initiatives.            

Merrowvista Education Center:  Center Tuftonboro, NH

       Trip Leader and Office Assistant (June 04’-October 04’)

  • Responsible for leading 5-7 day hiking, biking and canoeing trips at a summer camp.
  • Assisted with various office duties throughout the fall for the education center.

 Southeast Alaska Guidance Association:  Juneau, AK

      Americorps member and Education Coordinator (March 01’-December 02’)

  • Worked with young adults ages 14-23 on trail work and construction crews to help them earn school credit, learn employment and life skills, and earn their GED. 
  • Coordinated trainings and educational activities for 35 AmeriCorps members. 
  • Trained 15 AmeriCorps members as field educators to be in charge of implementing the field education activities on summer trail work crews. 
  • Provided support for 7 summer crews and oversaw the summer education program.
  • Helped coordinate orientations and graduations, wrote reports for grants, provided respite for project leaders, and interviewed potential corps members. 
  • Coordinated the winter AmeriCorps/VISTA Regional training for approximately 60 AmeriCorps members and their supervisors throughout Southeast Alaska.
