Workshop Faculty

Nicholas Quarrier, M.H.S., PT, OCS, director of the Healthy Musician workshops, is clinical associate professor of physical therapy at Ithaca College. A board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy, he has published and lectured throughout the country on music-related injuries.

Susan Bruckner, M.M., is a certified practitioner of neuro-linguistic programming. She has taught piano at Ithaca College and the University of Utah and is currently teaching at Cabrillo College, near her home in Santa Cruz, California. She is an active performer and clinician and the author of the book The Whole Musician.

Linda Case, is a certified Brain Gym instructor and educational consultant where she offers training in whole brain learning. She has appeared as teacher, violin soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States, Canada, France, Japan, New Zealand and Australia. She is concertmaster of the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra in Ithaca, New York and a member of the Albert Consort where she plays the treble. In addition, she is a teacher and consultant for the Spiritual Response Association doing energy and healing work.

Carol McAmis, M.M., professor of voice at Ithaca College, frequently performs in opera, oratorio, and recitals. She is a specialist in movement training for musicians and a graduate of a four-year professional course of study in the Feldenkrais® method of sensorimotor education. She has given numerous Feldenkrais workshops for singers, instrumentalists, actors, and dancers.

Susan Michlovitz, PT, PhD, CHT is a physical therapist and Certified Hand Therapist who practices in the Ithaca area. Dr. Michlovitz is an Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Columbia University, and Professor and Co-Graduate Program Director, CHT Elective Track of the DPT/OTD at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, Provo, Utah. She is on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Hand Therapy and Techniques in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery.
