Holly Fodge, a graduate student in the Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education (HPPE), presented a paper titled, "Women in the Academy and the Price of Legitimacy" at the Succeeding as Women in Higher Education Conference at SUNY Cortland on October 25, 2009.

"Anthropology Through Film” is a 3-credit hour online course offered during Winter Session 2010 (January 11-22) that delves into visual anthropology.  The course specifically addresses (a) what films show (and do not show); (b) how Western culture uses images of non-Western peoples; and (c) how non-Western peoples use images of themselves.    Registration for this course begins Monday, November 2.  Please contact Dr. Sue-Je Gage at sgage@ithaca.edu for further information.
