2008 Participant Fee - Residential
$1,310 - includes instruction, recitals, recreational activities, supervised housing, all meals from dinner on Thursday, July 3 through to lunch on Saturday, July 12, and two tickets for family members to the closing luncheon
2008 Participant Fee - Commuter
$1,023 - includes same as for residential participant with the exception of housing and breakfasts
Scholarships
A limited number of partial scholarships are available for 2008. To apply, enclose a letter with your application stating why you wish to be considered for financial aid along with an audio recording. To be eligible for scholarhip consideration, you must apply by March 31.
1. Complete the application form.
2. Obtain a letter of recommendation from your private teacher.
3. Submit an audio recording (CD or DVD) of two pieces of contrasting character and style if you have not attended the institute before or if you are requesting a scholarship.
4. Make a list of the repertoire you have studied during the past two years and indicate which pieces you have memorized or performed in recital.
5. Provide payment of the $25 application fee (nonrefundable), by check or credit card.
All the material must be mailed in a single envelope and postmarked by March 31. You will be notified whether you have been selected by May 2. If you are accepted, you will be billed for the participant fee. We will also send you additional information and forms regarding schedule, health care, items to bring, transportation from the Ithaca airport and bus station, etc.
Refunds
If you are accepted and cancel your application by June 13, a full refund, less the $25
application fee, will be given. Cancellations after that date will be considered on an individual
basis, and refunds will be prorated.
