A Faculty Development Workshop for New PT and PTA Faculty

FROM CLINIC TO CLASSROOM: A ROADMAP FOR SUCCESS

July 24-27, 2012

This four-day workshop is designed for new faculty in PT and PTA education programs and those thinking about making the transition to academe. Sessions will be interactive in nature and conducted by faculty experts and experienced administrators. Applications will be made to the home institutions of the participants.

The workshop will be facilitated by faculty and administrators who hold a diversity of positions and have received national level awards in teaching, scholarship and service, and have extensive expertise in academe, particularly in their content area.

The Ithaca College Department of Physical Therapy is an approved New York State Education Department sponsor of continuing education programs for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.

Registration
The early bird registration fee is $695 for those who register by April 15, 2012. After April 15 the workshop registration fee is $795. Space is limited to the first 45 participants; therefore, early registration is encouraged. The registration deadline is June 30, 2012.

Meals and Housing
Included in the cost of registration is a continental breakfast each morning, morning and afternoon refreshments, and a picnic on Thursday evening (lunch and dinner are on your own). Continuing Education Units
3.35 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be awarded by the New York State Education Department, for participation in this event. This number is based on 33.5 contact hours.
