Erica DeNicola

My name is Erica DeNicola and I am pursuing my Masters in Health Promotion and Education at Ithaca College. I currently hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology which I earned in May 2011 from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY. After completing my degree, I returned to my home in Rochester, where I completed a year of study at the University of Rochester in the Community Mental Health Counseling Masters program through the Margaret Warner School of Education. Despite successful completion of this year, the realization that this particular area of health-related professions did not match my career goals led me to explore other professions related to health, which is how I came to be in the Health Education program at Ithaca College.

Beyond academia, I enjoy appreciating and participating in different forms of art. I minored in Aesthetics in addition to my bachelors, and I enjoy photography, drawing, and playing the French horn. I also play soccer, and love cats, birds, and the outdoors. I have yet to decide what direction I would like to take my Masters in Health Education in, but I am particularly interested in how the health of the environment influences the health of populations, and promoting health through prevention.
