Greetings, my name is Brooke Appelman. I graduated from Ithaca College in May 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion and Physical Education with a minor in Deaf Studies. While completing my undergraduate education I had the opportunity to start the Ithaca College Fencing Club, teaching various students the sport.
My passion for health education, my strong relationship with my professors, and the continuation of teaching fencing, made choosing Ithaca College’s health education graduate program an easy choice. Along with furthering my knowledge in the area of health education I was also given the opportunity to be a graduate assistant.
When I complete the master’s program at Ithaca College, I am looking forward to branching out into other topics such as healthy eating within the community and schools.
