Why Ithaca College?

Why Ithaca College?

There are many reasons why Ithaca College is an excellent choice for graduate study in the fields of health promotion and physical education. Chief among them are the programs' theory into practice approach -- ensuring that students gain the experience necessary to succeed in the real world.

Students take advantage of various on- and off-campus opportunities, including taking classes at nearby Cornell University. In addition, various research and internship opportunities are available, ensuring that students are not only interested, but also involved in their studies.

Best of All Worlds

Few graduate programs in physical education and health education combine all the advantages available at Ithaca College. At Ithaca, students learn in a small class setting among some of the finest educators in the fields, in a respected department with a long track record of success.

And just as importantly, students can earn their degrees in as few as two semesters and one summer. So, if you’re ready to take the next step in your professional or academic career, Ithaca College is the school for you.

Low Tuition

The new tuition rate for the HPPE graduate program will be only $680 per credit hour for the 2014-2015 academic year. This is considerably lower than the undergraduate tuition rate. This makes the cost for our 30-credit program $20,400.00.  Students who receive a graduate assistantship pay even less. Our tuition structure and assistantship opportunities make us very competitive when considering other institutions with similar programs.
