Cost and Financial Aid

Tuition and Fees: Tuition is $577 per credit hour for fall 2007 and spring 2008.

Application Fee: There is an application fee of $40.

Graduate Assistantships: A limited number of graduate assistantships will be awarded each semester based on the applicant’s scholastic record and ability to assist the SM&M faculty in teaching and research. Graduate assistants work directly with the faculty. They may be asked to help administer undergraduate classes, conduct research, and assist with departmental activities and events. See page on graduate assistantships for more details.

You can apply for an assistantship when you apply for admission at http://www.ithaca.edu/gradstudies/apply.php.

Loans: Additional financial aid information can be found in the Ithaca College graduate catalog.

Insurance: Health insurance is available to you at a cost of $350 for the full year (September - August). Brochures on the College's policy are available at the health center and at registration. There is no coverage for summer only, nor is there coverage for dependents.

Continuing Registration Fee: In order to maintain active status until degree completion, a fee of $50 is required of all graduate students (except international students) for fall and spring semesters when they are not otherwise enrolled in coursework for credit. For international students, active status must be documented to meet the requirements of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Non-international students who designate their program as "summers only" will be required to pay a continuing registration fee every summer they do not register for courses. Students will be billed for the continuing registration fee and may not receive their degree until the fee is paid.
