The first Handwerker Gallery reading of the semester is coming up this Thursday, March 6, at 6:30 p.m. Our featured readers will be the Department of Writing's Mary Beth O'Connor and senior Karen D'Apice. The theme for the evening will be "Like Life."

Thursdays at the Handwerker presents evening of music by John Cage, curated by School of Music student Thomas Murphy '10, at 6:30 p.m. on February 7.

John Cage is best known for his role in expanding the boundaries of what is considered music. Murphy's program presents two of his works for spoken word, two important electronic works, and the most controversial music work of the 20th century, 4'33". Audience participation is required.

The Handwerker Gallery is pleased to announce the final reading of its fall 2007 "Thursdays at the Handwerker" series on December 6 at 6:30 p.m. The reading is themed "Changes: Within You, Without You," and the featured readers will be Department of Writing lecturer Andrei Guruianu and senior Evan Perriello, who is majoring in writing and English.
