Did you know that?

Most people think of it as a “men’s disease,” but in fact, it is the #1 killer of women in the U.S, killing even more women than all types of cancers combined

So what can you do to help?

  • BECOME EDUCATED
Attend one of our great workshops to learn more about Heart Disease:

- February 6th - Can We Talk: Things to Know about Your Heart starting at 1:00pm in the Human Resources Training Room (GL54 PRWC)
- RSVP to benefits@ithaca.edu

- February 14th - Cooking for Your Heart starting at 2:00pm in Terrace Dining Hall/Food Lab
- RSVP to benefits@ithaca.edu

- February 24th - Living a Heart Healthly Lifestyle starting at 11:30am in Business 301 (Park Center)
- RSVP to benefits@ithaca.edu

  • SPREAD THE WORD
Tell everyone you know about this deadly disease-- friends, family, and colleagues. Bringing up the issue and educating them is a great way to fight the disease and prevent it before it affects you and your loved ones.

  • SHOW YOUR SUPPORT
This year again we have our I HEART Red Photo Contest: Wear red every Friday in February, take a picture of yourself or your friends wearing red (be creative) and submit it! If you wear red every Friday in support of heart month, your name will be submitted into a prize drawing. All "Wear Red" photos are to be submitted to allie.ic.hr@gmail.com by February 28th.
