Effective Meetings Workshop
Meetings are essential to communications, but how many meetings have you attended that have had poor or even counter-productive results? Meetings must be well-planned, organized, have the right people present, and end with everyone committed to the "next steps". A meeting is a deceptively complex process with many opportunities for problems. Incomplete preparation, interpersonal dynamics, poor leadership, and obstructive attendees can run meeting off course, despite the best intentions.
This program will review common barriers to effective meetings and practical approaches to resolving them. This session is appropriate for both meeting facilitator and attendee.

Dealing with Change
Change is an event. The event happens and then what? The transition! The research shows that 75% of change efforts fail! Why? Because managing change requires both an attention to the structural components of a new design as well as an attention to the human dynamics of the transition. The human response to change is almost always overlooked during change implementation and leaders are often frustrated and surprised by the emotional reactions of affected employees. This workshop introduces the stages of change, how to recognize the signs in each stages, and how to respond/help yourself in each stage.
