Stanley Byrd, University of Rochester

 Stanley Byrd, Ed. D., is the Human Resources Manager of Organizational Development and Staff Diversity at the University of Rochester. He has 20 years of experience in human resource management, organizational development, and diversity/cultural competence program development. In his current role, his primary responsibility is to centralize processes and activities that support organizational effectiveness throughout the University of Rochester and its affiliates. His efforts and resources are concentrated in areas and programs that have a direct correlation to overall University-wide needs and strategic direction as identified by senior leadership. Stanley also serves as the senior staff diversity officer for the University. In this role he has responsibility for the development of programs and initiatives that foster and enhance organization-wide efforts related to staff recruitment, retention, inclusion and cultural competence.

Stanley has an Ed.D. in Executive Leadership from St. John Fisher College and earned his M.A. in Liberal Studies from State University of New York at Brockport. Dr. Byrd serves as the Board President for the MOCHA Center (Rochester, Buffalo, and New York City) as well as a consultant and facilitator/trainer for the National (International) Coalition Building Institute.
