Orange Chiffon Cake
Mixture 1
Mix:
- 2 ¼ cups cake flour
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
Add:
- ½ cup oil (Make a well)
- 5 egg yolks
- ¾ cup cold water 2 tsp vanilla
- Orange Zest: 1 orange grated
Mixture 2
Beat in separate bowl until stiff peaks form:
- 1 cup egg whites
- ½ tsp cream of tartar
- Gently fold 2 mixtures together
Pour into ungreased 10” tube pan
Bake @ 325 for 55 minutes
