Buttermilk Biscuits

Ingredients
1 cup flour
1 cup cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp sugar
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ cup butter (1 stick)
¾ cup buttermilk

Mix together first 6 ingredients.  Cut in butter. Stir in the buttermilk with a rubber spatula until the mixture forms a soft, slightly sticky ball.  Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured counter and quickly form into a rough ball.  Do not overmix.

Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Makes 12 biscuits
