Get Your Parking Permit

To obtain a parking permit, you will first need to activate your Ithaca College Netpass account. Once that has been activated, you can then proceed to order your parking permit online at The Office of Public Safety's  web page. You will need to know your Netpass Username and Netpass Password to continue with your order. After you log in, click on the "Purchase Permit" link and follow the instructions (there is currently "no charge" to order an employee parking permit). When you have completed the transaction, print the final screen. The print out will serve as your temporary parking permit until you are issued your official permit from Parking and Traffic Services.

Your official parking permit will be sent to your department from Parking and Traffic Services within 4-5 business days from the time you order your permit.

Prominently display your Parking Permit in your vehicle.

Brief Parking Rules

Park only in lots that correspond to your parking pass. Faculty and Staff are issued passes for Blue parking lots. They should not park in Red lots, which are designated parking lots for students. Violators of this policy will be ticketed and could be towed at the owner's expense. Click here for a campus parking map.

Be sure that your parking permit is clearly visible through the front windshield and that the car displaying the permit matches the car details on the permit. Violators of this policy will be ticketed and could be towed at the owner's expense.

Complete the Driver Information Form

In order to operate any campus vehicle (this includes rented vehicles for college business trips), employees must fill out the Driver Information Form (DIF). We recommend that you complete the form as soon as possible because this form is for IC insurance and requires a background check before you will be authorized to drive any campus vehicle.

  • Read Carl Sgrecci's letter to drivers of Official IC vehicles.
  • Fill out the DIF.
  • Submit the completed form to the Risk Management Office in the 3rd Floor of PR Williams Hall.
