The Mission of the Club
The mission of a Toastmasters club is to provide a mutually supportive
and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity
to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence
and personal growth.
Ithaca College Toastmasters
Chartered on October 2, 2002, Ithaca College's club is open to
all constituencies of Ithaca College, including Longview. We meet
every other Tuesday from 9:00-10:00 AM on the Ithaca College campus. Members
warmly welcome guests to their meetings who may want to observe
before deciding if Toastmasters is for them. Membership is inexpensive
and every Toastmaster is able to attend meetings at any club in
the world.
Members learn speechmaking in a supportive environment and gradually
work toward various levels of certifications at a comfortable pace.
Rewarding opportunities for participating in various speaking contests,
mentoring, club leadership, and other activities abound.
