Viewing Employment & Salary History in Employee Self-Service
This procedure covers the use of Employee Self-Service to view an employee’s own employment and salary history.
Employee Self-Service User*
The HRIS Director [bgriffin@ithaca.edu] is responsible for ensuring that this document is necessary and that it reflects actual practice.
This activity is performed whenever an employee would like to review their employment and/or salary history, including raises and review dates.
The job title Employee refers to:
1. Access Employee Self-Service
Refer to Accessing Employee Self-Service [NAVHRI01]
2. Select Employment & Salary History.

This includes your assignment number, your organization (department), IC e-mail address, your location, and Annualized full-time equivalent salary.
The page should default to this tab. If it doesn’t, click the Employment tab to bring up the employment view.

The employment details are laid out in table format, which includes: assignment start and end dates, assignment status, status change reason, grade, department, and assignment category.
In the leftmost column is a hyperlink labeled “Show”.
This will open an area that gives additional information, including: people group, hire date, latest hire date, payroll, work hours, and frequency.
Click the Salary Tab.

The salary details are laid out in table format, which includes: assignment #, change date, salary rate, salary basis, annualized salary, proposal reason, and grade.
In the leftmost column is a hyperlink labeled “Show”.
This will open an area that gives additional information including: payroll, salary frequency, increase amount and percentage, grade minimum, mid-point, and maximum for that particular year.
8. Print your employment and salary history
You may print your salary history if you so
desire. It is not required.

If you are using a PC, you may also right click within the page to choose print from the drop-down menu.
If you are using a Mac, you must click inside the employment salary history area, then click File> Print> Print Preview> Print Background.
9. Click the Home link to exit when you are finished viewing your employment & salary history.

You can continue to work with Employee Self-Service from the main menu.
10. Click
the Logout link when finished with Employee Self-Service to properly disconnect
