Vision Statement for the Ithaca College Office of Human Resources

The staff within the Office of Human Resources strives to partner with the administrators at the college to identify and respond in a timely manner to a broad range of human resource needs of the campus community. The ideal environment conducive to achieving this goal provides each member of the staff with a sense of respect and honesty for one another in their varying opinions as well as interactions which are professional, friendly, and supportive. It is an environment that can be filled with fun and laughter while also providing serious, and sensitive solutions to difficult matters. A cooperative partnership that is both creative and responsive in the decision-making process is also important and necessary components for successful synergy within the Office of Human Resources.

The Office of Human Resources provides all Ithaca College faculty and staff with access to relevant human resource information through an integrated HRIS (Parnassus). Effective policies, processes, and programs to support the Human Resource mission are provided in the following areas: employment, employee relations, benefits, compensation and organizational design,work and life balance, and staff and leadership development. We work directly with departments to recruit, hire, train, and retain a diverse and talented workforce.
