The School of Humanities and Sciences welcomes you to the Ithaca College community. As part of the experiences leading to your first semester at Ithaca College you will participate in Summer Orientation. At Summer Orientation you will learn a great deal of information relevant to your forthcoming experiences at Ithaca College, as well as meet with an academic adviser and register for your Fall 2013 semester. In the School of Humanities and Sciences Dean's Office, we understand that all of this is new and sometimes overwhelming. Have no fear - this is all part of the learning process and we are here to offer you guidance during these new experiences.
As part of Summer Orientation you will attend an academic briefing facilitated by a member of the Dean's Office staff. At this briefing we will share information relevant to advising, registration, School of Humanities and Sciences' policies, procedures, and curriculum, as well answer additional items you may have questions about. You will meet with an academic adviser too. The information provided on this web page is to help you when planning for your meeting with your academic adviser during orientation. While you will have time to ask your orientation adviser questions and review your advising materials during orientation, it will be helpful for you to review some of the items provided here ahead of your attendance at orientation.
If you have not already done so, please submit your Transfer Student Advising and Preregistration Questionnaire. The information requested in the questionnaire helps us to better understand you as a student and person, as well as give us insight into the types of courses you are looking to take at Ithaca College.
We look forward to meeting you at Summer Orientation.
