Student Awards, Grants, and Honors
Students in the School of Humanities and Sciences excel academically, pursuing challenging upper level courses in their major and minor areas of study, and undertaking research and honors projects that reflect their commitment to learning and their desire to push the knowledge frontier in a wide variety of disciplines.
Honor Societies
We recognize and celebrate students’ academic commitment and achievement by inducting students into disciplinary honor societies. These honor societies provide students with a connection to the wider discipline and to scholars in the field beyond Ithaca College. Membership in these societies is one way that students can demonstrate to others the high level of academic excellence that they have attained.
Awards and Grants
We recognize students’ dedication also by awarding prizes based on academic success, and offering competitive grants to support students who undertake special academic projects. Some of these honors and opportunities are offered at the School level, but most come through the many departments of the School. Awards and grants are testimony to the academic accomplishments of our students.
