Frequently Asked Questions
What is the typical class size in Art History and Architectural Studies? Will I be taking large lecture introductory classes taught by T.A.'s?
Our lower-level classes are capped at 28 students, so you will NOT be taking large lecture classes in the Department of Art History! Our upper-level classes are capped at no more than 18 students (and in many cases the cap is lower than that). All of our courses are taught by faculty with Ph.D.'s in the field, and because of our small class size teachers and students get to know one another in every class.
