Exposition Universelle de Paris 1889
Students to re-stage the 1889 Paris World Fair, Tuesday, November 19.
Students enrolled in Keri Watson’s ARTH 111: Episodes in Art History will be re-enacting the Exposition Universelle de Paris of 1889 on Tuesday, November 19, from 10:50 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. and again from 1:10 p.m. to 2:25 p.m. in Handwerker Gallery.
Students are playing characters including Bouguereau, Seurat, Gauguin, Cézanne, Van Gogh, the Impressionists, and many more. Stop by and enjoy refreshments while experiencing the first Reacting to the Past (RTTP) game, "Modernism vs. Traditionalism: Art in Paris, 1888-1889," played at Ithaca College.
