I decided to become an Art History Major because I fell in love with the stories that each piece of art has. They all have different meanings and different reasons for being created. Learning the artist thought process and reasons for creating a piece fascinates me. The course that helped me realize I wanted to declare art history as a major was Practicing Art History. It helped me see what I could be doing as an art historian and really enhanced my understanding of types of art in the world.

I have been volunteering at a local museum near me (Nassau County Museum of Fine Arts) for the past two summers and so far I have had a great experience. I have been able to see many wonderful exhibits also was able learn a little about how the museum runs.
