Bertolini Endowment
Criteria: Provides annual support for undergraduate research in biology and biochemistry.
Process: The Department of Biology will award the grant annually to an appropriate student research project. The chair of the department will be responsible for the award process each year. The amount will be determined by the growth of the fund. Donald Bertolini will receive an annual update on use of the fund and its growth.
In the event that additional gifts are made to the fund, more than one grant may be awarded. Any funds not awarded in a given year will remain in the endowment to allow it to grow.
If in the opinion of the members of the Ithaca College Board of Trustees, or their successors, the need for funds for the purpose described above no longer exists, the trustees, or their successors, are authorized to use these funds to establish a general endowed fund known as the Bertolini Endowed Fund to be used in the best interest of Ithaca College in a manner that will most nearly accomplish my wishes.
