Partnership in Teaching

At Ithaca College, professors like to stay in touch with the schools in their community. Through the Partnership in Teaching program, professors are able to play music with a sixth-grade band, share Egyptian experiences with middle school students, and teach elementary students about strange and interesting insects.

With the help from a Tompkins Trust Company endowment, the Partnership in Teaching program gives Ithaca College faculty and volunteers the chance to see what's going on in today's public schools. This program also provides local schoolteachers access to a great community resource - the knowledge and expertise of Ithaca College faculty members.
