Congratulations to Dr. Bruce Henderson, Professor of Communication Studies. He has been appointed co-editor of Disability Studies Quarterly, published by the Society for Disability Studies through Ohio State University Press.
The scholarship of Chris House, one of three predoctoral diversity fellows in the School of Humanities and Sciences, will appear in a special January 2012 volume of the Memphis Theological Seminary Journal. The volume focuses on rhetoric and religion.
Donathan Brown, assistant professor in the Department of Communication Studies and former H&S predoctoral diversity fellow, authored a chapter in the Anti-Immigration in the United States Encyclopedia, a volume just released by ABC-CLIO.
Dr. Howard Erlich, Department of Communication Studies (H&S), will speak at the noon hour on Thursday, October 27. The title of his presentation is "The Humanities and Higher Education: Some Inconvenient Truths About Endangered Species."
Danette Johnson, Professor of Communication Studies, and Greg Acquavella '11, an alum of the Communication Studies program, have co-authored an article titled, "Organization-public relationship satisfaction and intention to retain a relationship with a cell phone service provider", which will be published in The Southern Communication Journal in 2012. Greg is currently a graduate student in the Roy H. Park School of Communications.
