Economics professor Elia Kacapyr's paper, "Cross-Country Determinants of Happiness," will appear in the International Journal of Social Economics, volume 38 (2008). Kacapyr is also chair of the economics department.
Shaianne Osterreich, assistant professor of economics, has been awarded a $10,000 grant to study the Indonesian economy as a Sumitro Fellow. The grant is through the auspices of USINDO, a private U.S.-Indonesian society that supports cultural, academic, and political understanding between the two countries.
