Economics Professor Awarded $10,000 Grant

Shaianne Osterreich, assistant professor of economics, has been awarded a $10,000 grant to study the Indonesian economy as a Sumitro Fellow. The grant is through the auspices of USINDO, a private U.S.-Indonesian society that supports cultural, academic, and political understanding between the two countries.

Professor Osterreich will be studying the relationship between trade liberalization in light manufacturing, labor reform, and poverty alleviation in West Java.
