Programmatic Goals for Student Learning
Students graduating with a B.A. in Environmental Studies are expected to demonstrate:

Mastery of integrative and systems thinking approaches to human-environment interactions

Fundamental scientific literacy as it relates to the environment

Advanced political, economic, ethical, cultural and historical literacy as it relates to the environment

Competency in written, oral and visual communication, especially to a variety of audiences

The ability to lead others, as well as the ability to function effectively as part of a team

The ability to connect theory and practice through experiential and/or service learning

The ability to draw on the relevant literacies to approach environmental problem solving from a cultural perspective using skills such as social research methods, GIS, argumentation, and logic.
