Helpful Resources

Database Resource
LexisNexis Academic  has added an "Environmental Studies" area.  Click on "Subject Areas" in the blue area on the left, then select "Environmental Studies."  This indexes federal and state site records, EPA administrative decisions, EPA Superfund information, and similar documents, making it a valuable tool for researching legal and governmental aspects of environmental issues.

New Books & Films
We have a large amount of new environmental science material available, both books and films. Feel free to send me requests for any books or DVDs that you would like the Library to purchase.

Library Instruction
As always, I am happy to visit your classes to talk about library resources and methods.  This usually works best in the context of a particular assignment.  Also, you may want to point your students to the Environmental Science Research Guide.  I am also happy to create course- or assignment-specific web guides.  If you'd like to discuss either a class visit or a course guide, just drop me an e-mail.

Widgets
The Library's widgets are tiny little tutorials that you can insert into your Blackboard site or other web page.  They're a bit easier to find on the new website.

Other Useful Links
Environmental Science Film List - find fun stuff to show in class.

Interlibrary Loan - we are very fortunate here at IC, but we can't buy everything.  Use ILL to borrow it.
