Jason Freitag, assistant professor of history, delivered two public lectures at the Smithsonian Institution's Arthur M. Sackler Gallery in August. In the two talks, which were titled "Between Heaven and Earth: Patchworks of Power," Freitag explored imperial art and Sufism in Mughal India.
