Alumni Network and Department Newsletter

Class of 1996

Arsenault, Nancy

          Social Studies Teacher
          Boston English High School

Dougherty, Ryan

School Principal

The newsletter sounds great. I graduated in 1996. I taught history in Orlando, Florida  before
returning to New York to do the same.  I began teaching World History in Candor, NY in 2000.
In 2004, I became the High School Principal, and am currently serving in that role.  My time at
IC prepared me for success as an educator, and I am consistently impressed with students from
IC that I am still fortunate enough to work with in my current capacity.

Ring, Josh

ER Social Worker

I enjoyed reading the most recent newsletter.I hope you remember me, I was a History major and graduated in 96. I can't believe it's been 12 years since I graduated. It doesn't seem that long because much of that time is very much alive in my memory. I really enjoyed your classes and I remember having a lot of fun. The classes I took at Ithaca awakened the critical thinker within me and helped me to grow both emotionally and intellectually. Ithaca college was a great experience for me. After college I bounced around for a while and then taught grade school for a few years. Eventually I went on to Social Work school and got a masters. For the past 2 years I have been working as the ER social worker at NY hospital Queens. It's a great job. I got married about a year and a half ago and we live on Long Island. I hope everything is going well with you and your family. Sounds like you're as busy as ever. I'm sure you're enjoying that beautiful Ithaca spring weather.
