Swain, Erika

After IC, I ran off to Kalamzoo to Western Michigan University to work on my graduate degree in Medieval Studies. I found that, as much as I enjoyed it, the program was not a good fit for me. I did however meet my husband, a fellow medievalist, while at WMU and we moved to Chicago in 2002 so he could pursue his PhD.  

When in Chicago, I got a job at the Higher Learning Commission and have been working in regional accreditation ever since.  I'm currently the Process Administrator for Accreditation Services and manage the substantive change process for our 1022 member institutions.  

Most recently I was able to finish my MLIS form the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2009).
