Mathematics Professors Present at National Meetings
Tom Pfaff and Aaron Weinberg, professors in the Mathematics department, recently presented at the Joint Mathematical Meetings of the American Mathematical Society and the Mathematical Association of America.
Professor Pfaff spoke on a panel about the Incorporation of the Mathematics of Climate Change and Sustainability into our Undergraduate Courses.
Professor Weinberg presented in the MAA session on Innovations in Teaching Statistics in the New Decade. The presentation, From Tactile to Computer Simulation: An Intermediate Activity to Increase Understanding of Sampling Distributions, described a hypothetical learning trajectory for students in introductory statistics courses.
