Julia Cozzarelli is an Associate Professor of Italian. She received her PhD and MA degrees from Yale University, Department of Italian Language and Literature. Her doctoral dissertation focused on the relationship between imagination, love and reason in Italian Renaissance literature. She also has a strong interest in modern Italian literature. Prof. Cozzarelli completed her undergraduate work at the State Univeristy of New York at Buffalo, where she received a BA in Italian and a BFA in Illustration, both summa cum laude. She is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Prof. Cozzarelli has published articles on Italian literature in addition to authoring Italian pedagogical materials. She teaches Italian language and literature courses at all levels, and is the faculty advisor for the Ithaca College chapter of the Italian National Honor Society.
