The members of the Center for Natural Sciences (CNS) have formed the CNS sustainability group. The CNS building is the largest academic consumer of resources on the Ithaca College campus. The CNS sustainability group intends to use the CNS building as a model of sustainability that can be applied to other academic buildings on campus. To this end, the group intends to create curriculum materials that can easily be used in any classroom by faculty with little knowledge of sustainability issues, to reach out to other parts of campus to discuss the successes of the CNS sustainability group, and to reduce the ecological footprint of the CNS building.
