B.F.A. TPA Attendance & Late Work
All TPA courses syllabi will have written policies that accompany the college attendance policy and detail the ramifications of missed classes. If a student fails any required courses, the student may be discontinued from the major, as s/he will not be making satisfactory progress toward the completion of the degree. In cases of extreme hardship, exceptions may be made at the discretion of the entire area faculty.
All class projects are due at the beginning of the class indicated on the syllabus. If a student wants to request an extension, they must request said extension in writing at least 24 hours in advance of the project’s due date. A request does not guarantee an extension. Extensions will be granted based on the discretion of instructor. If an extension is granted the project’s grade will drop by a 1/3 of a grade every calendar day after the original due date.
If a project is due on Tuesday, at 1:00 p.m., any project submitted at 1:01 p.m. will be docked a third of a grade until Wednesday, at 12:59 p.m. If the project is turned in on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. it will be docked by two-thirds of a grade.
