Daniel is a multifaceted designer who works in a variety of design disciplines including theater, television, live events, experiential marketing, and store windows.
He received his B.A. from Western Washington University with a degree in English Literature, and his M.F.A. from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Daniel has designed the sets for the world premieres of: Andrew Hinderaker’s Suicide Incorporated (Roundabout); A. Rey Pamatmat’s After All the Terrible Things I Do (Milwaukee Rep); Clare Barron’s You Got Older (Page 73); Jordan Harrison’s The Grown Up, Jeff Augustin’s Cry Old Kingdom, Sam Mark’s The Delling Shore, and Dorothy Fortenberry’s Partners (all for the Humana Festival); David West Read’s The Great Pretender (Theatreworks); Ken Urban’s WASPS (Studio 42); Bekah Brunstetter’s Be A Good Little Window (Ars Nova); Stephen Levenson’s Seven Minutes in Heaven (Colt Coeur); Kate E. Ryan’s Card and Gift , Clare Barron’s Baby Screams Miracle, Peggy Stafford’s 16 words or less, and Motel Cherry (all for Clubbed Thumb); Matt Smart’s The Steadfast and Matt Mose’s The Cloud (both for Slant Theatre Project); Peter Weller’s Sex Good, Money Bad (TPG); Jonas Hassen Khemiri’s I Call My Brother(The Play Company); Micheline Auger’s American River(Lesser America).

For three years, Daniel was the Art Director at Industria Creative, an experiential marketing group that is responsible for the creation of pop-up shops, product launches, editor events, store windows, product packaging, and branding. Daniel lead designs for Vanity Fair, Google, Issey Miyake, Old Navy, Youtube, Teen Vogue, Fendi, BMW, Macy’s Christmas Windows, L’Oreal, Harry Winston, and many others.
Daniel has worked as an assistant/associate designer with George Tyspin, Christine Jones, Andrew Liberman, Andrew Jackness, Peter Wexler, and Tobin Ost, – on productions at regional theaters, Broadway, and opera companies in the U.S. an abroad.
Daniel lives in Brooklyn with his husband Andy and their scruffy sheep dog, Pamuk.
