Eliot Weinberger is an essayist, editor, and translator. His many works include the serial essay An Elemental Thing, selected by The Village Voice as one of the 20 best books of 2007, and What Happened Here: Bush Chronicles, a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award for criticism in 2005.
