ZZ Packer is the author of the short story collection, Drinking Coffee Elsewhere, a PEN/Faulkner finalist and a New York Times Notable Book. Her stories have appeared in the New Yorker, Harper's, and Best American Short Stories. Her nonfiction has been featured in New York Times Magazine, Essence, O, Believer, and Salon. She is the recipient of a Guggenhiem Fellowship and was named one of Americas' best young novelists by Granta and one of "20 under 40" fiction writers by The New Yorker.
