Joy Williams is the author of four novels—the National Book Award-nominated State of Grace, The Changeling, Breaking and Entering, and the The Quick and The Dead—and two collections of short stories, as well as many essays and articles. Her creative nonfiction has appeared in Antaeus, Esquire, and many writing anthologies. She has a special interest in environmental issues.
