Writing Department Assistant Professor Catherine Taylor has been awarded a residency at Yaddo, an arists' colony in Saratoga Springs, whose mission is "to nurture the creative process by providing an opportunity for artists to work without interruption in a supportive environment." Writers from Hannah Arendt and Sylvia Plath to Jonathan Franzen and Anne Carson have held Yaddo residencies.
