This page highlights upcoming events sponsored by the Exploratory Program as well as events held by other departments on campus that could be beneficial to Exploratory students.
Exploratory Study Break
The Exploratory Study Break is an event that takes place once each semester right around midterms. At the event, students can meet other members of the Exploratory Program and learn more about courses and workshops specifically created to help them explore. There will also be tips on course registration, information about the Exploratory courses for the following semester, instructions on how to find the courses on HomerConnect, socializing, and food!
Check back in the fall for the date and time of the Fall 2014 Exploratory Study Break.
Majors & Minors Fair
The Majors & Minors Fair is a popular event that takes place each fall semester. Representatives from majors and minors offered across all five schools at Ithaca College are stationed throughout Emerson Suites ready to answer questions from any student about the requirements and opportunities associated with each major. Students also have the opportunity to speak with staff from the Academic Advising Center, Career Services, Integrative Core Curriculum, the Office of the Registrar, the Office of International Programs, and the Office of Alumni Relations. The event is open to all students on campus, but it can be of particular worth to students in the Exploratory Program.
Check out this article published in The Ithacan about the success of the first Majors and Minors Fair since 2004 held on November 6, 2013.
Department Spotlight Events
Different departments around campus host “Spotlight Events” to highlight the successes of the students in their department and allow others to learn more about the work they do. Keep an eye out for updates on these events!
