Frequently Asked Questions

What courses should I be taking if Iím still not sure what I want my major to be?

There is really no correct or incorrect answer to this question.  You should be taking courses in areas that you are interested in that will help you narrow down the options you are considering for your major.  You can also look into some courses that will fulfill your ICC requirements because those will transfer with you once you declare your major.

Additionally, there are some courses available only to Exploratory students that are meant to provide assistance in defining academic and career goals.  The three courses are Exploring the Options: Finding Purpose and a Path in College (1 credit), Exploring Ithaca College Culture (1 credit), and Understanding the Workplace (1 credit).  More information on these courses can be found on the Exploratory Program website.
