Making a decision isn’t the end—it’s just the beginning.

Some exploratory students declare a major after one or two semesters. Others continue to explore through sophomore year. As an exploratory student, you can stay for up to four semesters in the Exploratory Program before making your decision. With over 100 academic programs at the College to choose from, you’ll be sure to find something you can really be excited about.

Ithaca College alumni can be found in prominent careers all over the world. So no matter which direction you choose, you’ll soon be ready for an exciting career.

With help from your adviser, you'll have plenty of additional assistance as you choose your field of study and eventually embark on the job search. The Office of Career Services, in collaboration with the Exploratory Program and the Ithaca Seminar Program, offers a wide range of workshops, activities, and transitional sessions specifically tailored to the needs of exploratory students.
