Hello Exploratory Students, Class of 2013 -- welcome to the Ithaca College community! 

On this web page, you will find information and links to help you in preparing for course pre-registration, including materials related to course selection and instructions for submitting all requested information to my office for pre-registration processing. 

At this point, you already should have submitted your request for an Ithaca Seminar.  If not, please do so as soon as possible at the Ithaca Seminar pre-registration web page.

Your next goal is to select several courses of interest for pre-registration prior to your attendance at summer Orientation. You will be pre-registered for two courses.  I realize that this is all quite new for new first-year students.  So, I want to you to consider the following:

• You cannot make a mistake!
• You will be meeting with an academic adviser during summer Orientation.
• You will have lots of questions. We can answer them at Orientation or you may call the H&S Academic Advising Office (607/274-1375) as you work through this material.
• You will complete your fall schedule at summer Orientation.
• Adjustments to your schedule may be made during your meeting with your summer Orientation adviser.     

This information has been prepared in the order which will be most beneficial to you in terms of understanding the course selection process. You should read and review the information in the order of the links shown on the column on the left side of this page. Take time to carefully read all the information and to review all referenced websites, as doing so will enable you to more easily make course selections and prepare you for your meeting with your summer advisers.

All requested information must be submitted electronically (preferred) by Monday, June 15, 2009.  If you cannot send the information electronically, please mail to H&S Academic Advising Office, 219 Muller Faculty Center, 953 Danby Road, Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY  14850.

It’s time to get started.  Remember to relax and keep track of all of your questions.
