The M.A.T. Program in Adolescence Education

The Master of Arts in Teaching Program at Ithaca College is a 33-credit graduate program leading to initial teaching licensure in Adolescence Education, grades 7-12. A cohort of approximately 20-25 students begins the program each year in late May and continues through late June of the following year. 

The M.A.T. Program curriculum consists of continued study in the academic area of certification; coursework in educational theory, curriculum, and instruction; and field experiences in varied school and community settings.

The M.S. Program in Childhood Education

The Master of Science Program in Childhood Education at Ithaca College is a 38-credit graduate program leading to initial teaching licensure in Childhood Education, grades 1-6. A cohort of approximately 15 students begins the program each year in late May and continues through late June of the following year. 

The Childhood Education Program curriculum consists of coursework in educational theory, curriculum, and instruction; and field experiences in varied school and community settings.
