2010 Hugh Egan Scholar

Absolutely, positively, no one was surprised when Katie Wright was chosen by the graduating seniors as the Hugh Egan Scholar in 2010. Katie had been deeply involved in Honors from the time she arrived on campus. She lived in the old Honors Residence in Landon Hall as a first-year student and would become the Honors RA for the next three years. She was a tireless member of the Honors Student Advisory Committee for four years, where she helped plan many of the trips and co-curricular activities. In her senior year she co-ordinated all of the Program's service activities. Katie was a highly respected graduate of the English Department.

A year after she graduated Katie unexpectedly (but very happily!) popped up in the Ithaca College Office of Residence Life. It was a great pleasure to have her back for another year! Now she's off again, this time to grad school to study Higher Education Administration.
