Travel Opportunities

The honors program actively promotes student travel. In addition to encouraging honors students to spend a semester abroad, the program sponsors a number of annual trips, even subsidizing costs to help make travel available and affordable to all of our students.

HONORS IN LONDON

The honors program serves as an active part of the Ithaca College London Center. The program offers an academic semester in London every fall and an immersive spring break experience in London.

STUDY ABROAD

Many honors students choose to spend a semester abroad, living and taking classes in a foreign country.

THE NEW YORK CITY TRIP

Each spring, honors students take a day trip to New York City. The program procures tickets to a museum and a performance.

CANADA

The honors program sponsors an annual trip to Canada to attend the Shaw Festival. Honors students travel to Ontario to see a show at the festival, stopping at Niagara Falls on the way.

PARTNERS IN THE PARKS

Partners in the Parks is an outdoor experiential learning program in cooperation with the National Collegiate Honors Council.

OTHER

The honors program is always interested in new travel opportunities. Each year, the program takes students on smaller day trips. Past trips have included whitewater rafting on the Black River and attending the Corning Museum of Glass.
